Photo sessions at the beach are all about FUN and this family certainly brought their A game!  I first met this family when I did the Front Steps Project.. when mom emailed me later in the year to do a beach session I was so excited!  We decided to have their session in Asbury Park - it's one of my favorite beaches to shoot at at the Jersey Shore.  Between the beautiful murals, architecture and the beach itself, there are so many photo opportunities that are different than your typical beach.

They chose to make a weekend out of it instead of driving home immediately after the shoot.  99.9% of my beach sessions end with the kids (or the entire family) in the water!  I always suggest bringing an extra pair of clothes for the ride home, but being they were staying the night it was no problem and no worries about anyone unhappy in the car in with wet clothes!

We got so lucky with an amazing sunset, too!  The colors were unreal, but we knew a storm was coming.  We shot up until the clouds really started rolling in and knew it wouldn't be safe anymore.  As soon as I got in the car it started thundering, Mother Nature really held out for us that day!  After we parted ways I immediately called my husband to tell him how incredible the session was and couldn't wait for my next beach session!
