I am here to tell you that your next Family Portrait Session doesn't have to take place at a beautiful, well-known park.  Your session can take place in the comfort of your own home.. yes!  Your home!  Inside, out front or your backyard.  Why not preserve your family's love in the place you all feel most at ease?

The thought of getting your photo taken can be overwhelming; you may be worried your kids won't cooperate, your husband is going to be uncomfortable or the thought of being in a public setting with strangers catching glances at your family may make you not act like yourself.  The best solution to all those worries is to have your session at home!

You know when you are away for a weekend or even out for the night and you come home and you instantly relax and feel comforted by your home?  That's how I want you to feel during your session.. relaxed and comfortable!  I think this is a great solution especially for those who haven't had professional photos taken of their family.

Whether you are in your forever home or an apartment, your home is the heart of your family.  This is the place where you create your most cherished memories, where many of your traditions unfold and the place where your kids had their "firsts".  At these sessions we will document your time together as you do on any regular day if I wasn't there.  Do your kids love to play in the backyard on their jungle gym, play dress up, do you love to read books together as a family, play board games, have a dance party?  We'll capture it!

Sessions at home pretty much guarantee that your kids will feel more comfortable with me.. they get so excited to show me their favorite toys and to be honest.. that there's a new person to play with for the day!  (Yes, I can play tea party and take your most beloved photos!)

If you're worried that your home isn't "magazine worthy", I've got you!  It truly doesn't need to be!  When we're inside, I make sure we find the room(s) with the best light and go from there.  Your home is filled with children, it would be hard for it to be "magazine worthy".  Toys, sticky surfaces, handmade crafts hung, it's all beautiful because this is your phase of life right now.
