You know that cliche saying, "do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life"?  Well, it's true!  There are so many aspects of my job that I love and Newborn Sessions are high on the list!

Friends of mine welcomed their baby boy in July.  Typically Newborn Sessions are the first 1-2 weeks after birth, but there are times when the parents want to hold off a bit and that is completely fine!  We did this session about a month after he was born and look at how beautiful these turned out!

Some questions I like to ask my Newborn clients before a session are:

• Where is your favorite place to hang out with your new baby?
• What is your favorite way to hold him?
• What is your most favorite physical feature about your new baby?  Example:  the fuzzy hair on their ears and arms, those sweet little lips, the teeny tiny fingers and toes, etc.
• Are there any family artifacts that you want to include in your session?  If so, let me know what it is and the sentimental value!

Asking these questions help me document your growing family true to you and your story.  For Landon's session I made sure based off those questions that we photographed him in their favorite cozy spot; the couch, the specific way they like to hold him, his finger & toes and incorporated Mom's baby blanket for some sentimental value.

Your session is yours and yours only.. they can't be duplicated because every family has a different story to tell <3
