Below I go into detail the exact steps we take from booking, to questionnaires, locations in and around Bergen County and Essex County, NJ plus so much more!
1. BOOK YOUR SESSION
Digital Questionnaires & Contracts
After choosing a session date I will send over a payment link for the session fee and the Portrait Agreement. Once you have signed the Agreement and paid the session fee, the date is officially yours! I will then send over two questionnaires.. one that covers your styling preferences and one to help me get to know your family better. The more detailed you are the better! That is the secret sauce to capturing your authentic connection!
2. WHAT TO WEAR?
I will show you exactly what to wear!
I will use your style questionnaire to virtually style your family for you! I will send you an email with a clothing board created just for your family with links to exactly where you can buy everything online or in person. It’s best for us to work together to find the perfect clothes that you will feel comfortable and confident in and of course, that you would truly wear. Sometimes you might have something similar already in your closet, that's always a fun realization and saves you a trip Garden State Plaza or Willowbrick Mall!
3. THE LOCATION
Where will we create our gorgeous family photos!?
I have a long, running list of stunning locations to choose from. But, I also have clients from all over New Jersey like Rutherford, Montclair, Woodcliff Lake, Wayne and more! So, I like to base it off where you are located so you aren't traveling too far with little ones. However, some family's are up to a longer drive so I'll adjust if requested!
4. THE SESSION
One and a half hours of family fun!
Family sessions typically start an hour and a half before sunset; AKA Golden Hour. The session flow will be based on what I’ve learned from your questionnaire. During the session I will guide you through a series of games & prompts with a mixture of natural poses. There will also be times that I will be quiet because I am capturing those real life, in-between moments that would otherwise go unnoticed.. Like the way your husband brushes the hair out of your daughter’s face or the way your son’s tiny hand fits into yours. These are the moments you will cherish forever <3
5. AFTER THE SESSION
Your gallery arrives in three weeks
After the session it takes about three weeks for the editing process. I give time and attention to each image so they are perfect for you and ready for print. You will be sent a private, online gallery to view in the comfort of your home! How great is that!?
6. CHOOSE YOUR COLLECTION
Easily select which collection works for your needs
You will get to enjoy your gallery, select your favorite images and choose which of the three collections will best suit your needs all from the comfort of your own home! I offer three Digital File Collections and each one includes all of the final, high resolution digital images PLUS heirloom artwork. You get to share your portraits with family and friends and get professionally printed products to hang on your walls. The best of both worlds!
