Happy Monday, friends! Today's blog post is dedicated to the most common frequently asked questions! I hope this helps you prepare for your upcoming sessions or for those who are looking to reach out about scheduling for the remaining 2024 dates I have available.
Q: I'm worried my kids won't behave, what do you suggest?
A: The kids rule the session! I spend the first few minutes interacting with your child without my camera in their face to not only gain their trust but understand what games and silliness will suit their personality best. No need to stress, please simply love your child as you would if I weren’t there capturing the moments. Also, I have nine little ones in my family, three nephews and six little cousins.. I understand how "spirited" little ones can be! When they aren't feeling the prompt I first suggest, we move on and do something else. I promise I can capture your family’s moments and deliver a beautiful gallery even when you think your kids turned into a whole different being at their session!
Q: Do you offer payment plans?
A: Yes! I know photo sessions are an investment and it can be hard to fit all the important things in the budget all at once! But, I want to make sure that you know you have the option for an interest-free payment plan for your portrait session. If this would be something that you are interested in, we will set something up for you so you can have beautiful photos of your family while not putting too much stress on your budget!
Q: What's the best time of day for our outdoor session?
A: My outdoor sessions all take place about 1.5 hours before the sun sets.. AKA Golden Hour. This warm, golden hour light creates the most beautiful backdrop. While I realize this timing certain times of the year may not be ideal for really little ones, I know plenty of locations that provide some flexibility to this and allow us to use open shaded areas. Or I suggest booking your session in the early Spring or Fall for earlier sunset times. I also offer sunrise session if that is a better choice for your family’s schedule!
Q: What should we wear for our family photos?
A: Don't worry, I've got you! After getting on my calendar, I will send you a questionnaire and after receiving your answers, I personally sit down and style your family from the bow on your heads to the shoes on your feet… the best part is it’s all virtual and I even send you the links to purchase the clothes if you want! You may even have something similar in your closet already! I am here to ensure that your family is styled to perfection on any budget and so your images truly represent who you are and what you are comfortable wearing.
Q: When will I be able to view my gallery?
A: After the session it takes about two-three weeks for the editing process. I give time and attention to each image so they are perfect for you. You will be sent a private. online gallery to view in the comfort of your home.
Q: What happens if it rains?
A: We will be in communication the week of your session if it looks like rain is in the forecast. The day of or the day before we make the final call and choose a NEW date.
Q: I'm worried I won't actually print my photos from our session. What do you suggest?
A: This is truly my favorite part of the experience I offer my clients. It is so important to me that you walk away from our time together with something beautiful to hang on the walls of your home or a stunning keepsake to place on your coffee table. All of my Digital File Collections include professionally printed heirloom products! So, you won't have to worry about your photos getting lost in the shuffle of your iPhone camera roll or your USB collecting dust in a junk drawer.
I hope this was helpful information for you to prepare for your professional photos!
