TOP FIVE THINGS YOU CAN DO TO PREPARE FOR YOUR SESSION
There are many things I do on my end to help you and myself prepare for our upcoming session. But, there are a few things you as the client can do to prepare for our session as well! Below are some quick and easy steps you can take:
1. Nails/Hands
I will capture details of you holding your little one's hand and even your partner. Apply lotion, going for a manicure or simply trimming your nails are great ways to feel confident when your hands will be photographed. If your little one is wearing nail polish that is old or chipped, please be sure to remove it before our session. This can't be retouched.
2. Remove Hair Ties and Apple Watches
Please remove the handy hair tie all us ladies like to keep on our wrist + those Apple Watches. You'll most likely have a nice tan line from it, so I recommend replacing it with a pretty watch or bracelet!
3. Bring Snacks!
I recommend bringing non-messy snacks and water for your little ones. Sometimes kiddos need a little something especially if their schedule is thrown off for our photo session. We all get a little hangry sometimes, right!?
4. Let Go and Trust the Process
After over eight years of experience I know that when there is too much pressure put on your kids to sit there and look at my camera, they're naturally going to fight it and give forced smiles that don't show their true personalities. When we let them be themselves and encourage play that's when the magic truly comes out. When you contact me your goal is the capture your family as they are now, right? All those things you want to remember. Let's take the pressure off so we can create heartfelt, beautiful and meaningful portraits <3
